De Zeekoe is only a 10 min drive from Oudtshoorn and perfectly based to explore the scenic attractions of the Klein Karoo as well as the natural beauty of the nearby Garden Route. Situated right across the road from us is safari ostrich farm for a full ostrich tour and ride, if you dare! 30 mins drive from us is the very famous cango caves with its limestone caves. The cango wildlife ranch & cheetah sanctuary is only a 10 min drive from us for encounters with white tigers and cheetahs. The CP Nel Museum & Le Roux Town House showcases the fascinating history of the region, and has been voted one of the country’s best small museums. ARBEIDSGENOT – the home of the well-known Afrikaans writer, CJ Langenhoven. Visit some of the many famous sandstone buildings in the area. One of the world’s most spectacular passes, the SWARTBERG PASS which takes you over to the ever so charming Prince Albert. Drive through MEIRINGSPOORT, the origin of the mother geranium. Interpretive FLORAL and SUCCULENT TOUR with a botanist. The more adventurous at heart can do a day trip into the remote and rugged Gamkaskloof Valley, otherwise known as ‘DIE HELL’.

Een leuke lokatie en perfecte ligging voor excursies in de omgeving.

Slechte wifi.
Ontbijt goed, diner redelijk tot goed.
Service van thee, cake etc heel goed.
Mooi gelegen locatie. We werden hartelijk ontvangen. Koffie en thee stond klaar met een taartje erbij.
De kamer was groot en mooi. Een gezellige houtkachel op de kamer zorgde voor extra sfeer. Helaas geen werkende wifi wat wel vermeld werd (router buiten gebruik). Bij de receptie en restaurant werkte de wifi wel. De badkamer was groot met een prima douche en volop ruimte om spullen neer te zetten. Er hing wel een wat muffe geur maar alles was goed schoon.
Het leuke was dat de medewerkers goed meedachten, niets was te veel.
Van hieruit een excursie gemaakt door de Swartbergpass. Prachtig en met passie uitgevoerd door Jan. Top.
The only place we weren’t too happy about was the De Zeekoe Guesthouse. The rooms weren’t well clean and the mosquito nets full of dead mosquitos. In addition, we had to change our room due to a very bad smell coming from the bathroom.
