1905: a house rich in history
Built for David Edward McConnell, a British director of the Union Castle Shipping Line.
He named the house after the Manor house at Bisham which was a memory from his youth and the model he followed to build in Cape Town.
2004: welcome to abbey manor
Abbey Manor has been converted into a guesthouse in 2004. Lovingly restored, this luxury guesthouse has a glamorous style reflecting the times of a bygone era.

We don’t do average. Abbey Manor is being constantly refurbished. 9 individually decorated rooms offer all the luxury you would require. Elegant main areas include a lounge which extends out to a roof top terrace where you can enjoy sensational views of sun-kissed Table Mountain.
